The newcomer youth website is an exciting new project by OCASI.

The website will be a place where newcomer youth can get information about the issues that affect them. They will also have the opportunity to interact with and learn from the experiences of other newcomer youth, Canadian youth and youth workers. Visitors to the website will have a wide variety of ways to get the information they need. For example, there will be a directory of youth-serving organizations, a local event and workshop calendar, interactive maps, a discussion forum moderated by other newcomer youths and youth workers, youth-made video “how-to’s”, info podcasts, and numerous articles dealing with issues important to newcomer youth.

As a youth-developed, youth-led and youth-centered project, the site will be able to quickly adapt to changing demographics of the community it serves and provide opportunities for involvement, network building and personal development to newcomer youth.
